This Project is broken into 2 Parts which each explore the idea of Narrative Photography
What is Narrative Photography?: the idea that photographs can be used to tell a story. Allen Feldman stated that "the event is not what happens. The event is that which can be narrated".
DUE DATE:
Part Two of this tasks requires you to tell a narrative through photography.
You are not aloud to include any human figures or words in the telling of your narrative, you can only tell this story through a series of photographs. The following pictures are an example of a nursery rhyme told through photography. You are require to submit a minimum of 5 photos or a maximum of 12

1) Choose a narrative to base your photographs around; i.e a fairy tale. nursery rhyme etc
2) Research this Narrative: Create a page on your website with the title of the narrative you have chosen, this page should included
- images taken by others which represent the story,
- the story written in full
3) create a mind map of ideas on your website as to how you might tell this story, how will you break it up into photos, etc
4) Create a plan on your website which gives provides details of the following
- Props
- Location of photo-shoot
- Other people involved in the photo shoot
- Date of photo-shoot
3) Submit your photos to your website page in the order that they tell the narrative.
This project is to be taken outside of school, you are aloud to borrow school cameras

What to strive for in this task & How you will be marked....
- Creativity/Unique Concepts: When telling your story through photographs, you should strive for originality and creativity don't go for the most obvious way of telling the story, try to think of how you can tell the narrative in a fun, interesting way (DONT BE BORING)
- Technical Accomplishment: With all photographic tasks technical accuracy is of great importance, your photos must be Clear, Crisp, in Focus & have even/intentional Exposure.
- Your story should be taken without the aid of words or compete human figures you needs to think of creative ways to tell your narrative through other means
- less is often more. you are required to hand in a minimum of 4 photos and a maximum of 12 they say a picture says a 1000 words so choose your words carefully, each photograph you submit should be highly resolved and strongly communicate the message (avoid fluff photos)
- Composition: your photos should be well constructed, avoiding confusing backgrounds and unnecessary components.
- Photoshop: in this task each photo should be enhanced using photoshop, you may also which to experiment with photoshop further in a more creativity way using it as a tool to add fantasy to your images.
